Manufacturer's warranty
GENERAL WARRANTY PROVISIONS
The manufacturer’s warranty covers the full range of ABSEL-branded automotive spare parts, starter batteries, and headlamp bulbs. The warranty entitles the consumer to make a claim if defects or nonconformities are discovered in the purchased product.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase as evidenced by the cash register receipt issued at the point of sale (retail shop, service station, or commercial fleet facility) and is determined by the product category.
WARRANTY PERIODS

AUTOMOTIVE SPARE PARTS*
- 24 months or 60,000 km (whichever occurs first).

STARTER BATTERIES**
- Installed on passenger vehicles: 24 months.
- Installed on commercial and heavy vehicles: 12 months.

HEADLAMP BULBS
- Halogen bulbs, ORIGINAL series: 12 months or 30,000 km.
- Halogen bulbs, LONG LIFE series: 18 months or 45,000 km.
- Other halogen series: 6 months or 15,000 km.
- LED and XENON bulbs: 24 months or 60,000 km.

RADIATORS (ENGINE COOLING & HEATING)
- 36 months or 100,000 km (whichever occurs first).

CLUTCH SYSTEM PARTS
- 24 months or 30,000 km (whichever occurs first).

SENSORS
- 24 months or 60,000 km (whichever occurs first).
*WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
The warranty does not cover:
- Service-replacement components changed per maintenance schedules (filters, spark plugs, wiper blades, greases, brake fluid, engine coolant and windshield washer fluids, brake pads).
- Damage due to negligent operation, modification, refurbishment, traffic accidents, incorrect part selection, or caused by a fault in another component or assembly.
DECISION ON THE CLAIM
After submission of all required documents and completion of the examination, the customer is entitled to either replacement of the defective product or a refund of its value. Under the general procedure, the customer is additionally entitled to reimbursement of the labour costs associated with the defective ABSEL product.
WARRANTY TERMS FOR LAMPS
- Lamp warranty requires that installation be performed at a service station and that the vehicle has not been subject to design modifications. Observance of correct electrical polarities is mandatory when installing LED lamps.
- If lamps are self-installed, the warranty period is 30 days.
**WARRANTY TERMS FOR ABSEL STARTER BATTERIES
- Battery replacement is made only upon confirmation of a manufacturing defect related to production (e.g., an internal open circuit, or a shorted cell).
- Defects caused by external impact or misuse, as well as normal wear, are not grounds for return/replacement.
- A deeply discharged battery (below 50% state of charge) is not considered defective. Charging of a serviceable, discharged battery in the warranty laboratory is at the owner’s expense.
- Upon request of the warranty workshop, the vehicle on which the tested battery was installed must be presented for the warranty assessment.

The ABSEL starter battery warranty does not cover
- Absence of a warranty card, or its incorrect or incomplete completion
- Failure to comply with operating, maintenance, or safety rules (as specified in the warranty card)
- Absence of supplier warranty stickers and manufacturer labels
- Use of the battery on vehicles with faulty electrical systems
- Mechanical damage to the battery, blocked vent holes
- Discharge to an open-circuit voltage (OCV) below 11.0 V
- Case destruction due to gas explosion, electrolyte freezing in cells
- Use of the battery for purposes other than its intended application.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
- If the cash receipt is lost, the warranty period is determined by the production date indicated on the product or its packaging.
RETURN PROCEDURE
- Returns are possible only if all required documents and the defective part are provided.
- All documents and parts must be presented at the point of sale where the product was purchased.
- The decision on the claim is made after a detailed examination of the submitted materials.
